We've kept these as clear and concise as possible. Please read them before your first session — they cover how we operate, what we ask of you on court, and how we both stay protected.
By booking a court, hiring equipment, or using our facility, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Who These Terms Apply To
These terms apply to everyone who books, enters, or uses the courts and facilities at Hashtag Ballerz, powered by Hashtag Fitness, Blantyre, Malawi.
We may update these terms from time to time. The most current version will always be available at our reception. By continuing to use our facility, you accept any updates.
2. Playing Risk & Liability Waiver
Important: By playing at Hashtag Ballerz, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks of padel.
Padel is a physical sport. Risks include — but are not limited to — fast-moving balls, racket contact, slips and falls, collisions with other players, and contact with court walls and glass panels.
You play at your own risk. We are not liable for injury, illness, or loss arising from your use of our courts or facilities, except where directly caused by our own negligence.
If you have any existing health conditions, injuries, or concerns, please consult a doctor before playing. By booking a court, you confirm that you are physically fit to participate.
3. Bookings & Payments
All court bookings must be made through our official website, app, or reception. Full payment is required at the time of booking. A booking is only confirmed once payment is received.
Providing false or misleading information during the booking process may result in cancellation without refund.
Sessions begin at the scheduled time and end at the original end time regardless of when you arrive. We cannot extend sessions for late arrivals.
Cancellation: Cancel at least 24 hours before your session to receive a full credit to your account. Cancellations within 24 hours and no-shows are charged in full — no refunds or credits.
If we cancel your booking due to maintenance, an emergency, or circumstances beyond our control, we will offer you a rescheduled slot or a full account credit.
Transfers: If you cannot attend, you may transfer your booking to another person before the session starts. Please let us know who is coming in your place.
4. Court Rules & Conduct
Footwear: Clean, non-marking sports shoes designed for indoor racket sports are required on court at all times. No outdoor shoes, bare feet, or flip-flops.
Attire: Please wear appropriate sports clothing. No jewellery on court — this is a safety requirement for yourself and other players.
Glass walls: Our courts have glass panels. Do not run into them, hang on them, or strike them deliberately with rackets. They are a structural safety feature.
Respect everyone: Treat other players, staff, and our facility with respect at all times. Aggressive behaviour, abusive language, or unsafe play will not be tolerated. We reserve the right to remove anyone from the premises without refund.
Vacating the court: Please exit the court promptly when your session ends. Overstaying will incur an overtime charge of MWK 50,000 per 5 minutes. Non-payment may result in a ban.
Prohibited: Alcohol, drugs, and intoxicants are not permitted on court or in the facility. Smoking and vaping are permitted only in designated outdoor areas. No pets inside the facility.
5. Children & Supervision
Players must be at least 16 years old to play unsupervised.
Players under 16 must be accompanied on court by a parent or legal guardian at all times. The accompanying adult assumes full responsibility for the child's safety and conduct throughout the session.
6. Equipment Hire
We offer rackets and balls for hire at an additional charge. Hired equipment is for use on our courts only and must be returned immediately after your session.
Please inspect equipment before use and notify staff immediately if anything appears faulty. You will be charged the full replacement value — including duties and shipping costs — for any equipment that is damaged beyond normal wear or not returned.
7. Facility Damage
You are responsible for any damage caused to our courts, equipment, or facility during your session. This includes damage to glass panels, nets, court surfaces, lighting, and any other structures or fittings.
Where damage is caused by reckless, unsafe, or deliberate play, we will charge you the full cost of repair or replacement, including transport, installation, and associated costs. Failure to pay may result in legal action and an immediate ban.
8. Video Recording
[PLACEHOLDER — Video recording is not yet active at Hashtag Ballerz. This clause will come into effect once the system is in place. Players will be notified.]
Our courts will be equipped with cameras to record sessions. Recordings will primarily be available for your own gameplay review and enjoyment.
By playing at Hashtag Ballerz, you consent to being recorded once this system is active. We may also use session footage for promotional purposes, including on social media and our website.
If you prefer not to appear in our marketing materials, please let us know and we will respect that request. We do not record in changing areas or any private spaces.
CCTV is in operation throughout the facility for the safety and security of all visitors.
9. Personal Belongings & Parking
We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings while you are at our facility. Please keep your valuables secure and do not leave items unattended.
Vehicles are parked at the owner's risk. Hashtag Ballerz accepts no responsibility for theft, damage, or loss in the parking area.
Lost items found on the premises will be kept for a limited period. Unclaimed items may be discarded or donated.
10. Suspension & Bans
We reserve the right to suspend or permanently ban any player for non-payment, misconduct, reckless behaviour, damage to our facility, or repeated breach of these terms. No refunds will be provided where a ban results from a player's own conduct.
11. Force Majeure
We are not liable for cancellations or service interruptions caused by events outside our control — including power outages, extreme weather, government restrictions, natural disasters, or other unforeseen circumstances. We will do our best to reschedule or issue account credits where possible.
12. Privacy
A Privacy Policy governing the collection and use of your personal data will be published separately. By using our facility, you acknowledge that your data may be collected for operational, safety, and communication purposes in line with applicable Malawian law.
13. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Malawi. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of Malawian courts. If any individual clause is found to be unenforceable, the remaining terms continue in full force.
